Mahaveer continues to improve with 2 more consecutive podiums

The weekend started well with no complaints about the weather with blue sky, full of sun, just a little wind and a great atmosphere by an enthusiastic crowd of over 100,000 spectators.

Mahaveer qualified second in the Formula category as expected since he drives a Lola Gibson Tech 3.4 V8 car in the Formula class which has ten other competitors. Eight of them are using more powerful Dallara Mecachrome 4.0 V8 machines and one racer was competing in a Dallara Renault 3.5 V6 vehicle.

Mahaveer finished his first race too with the same P2 position. “I could have gone for a better result, had been blocked by another driver. I will go for this tomorrow and improve at the race on Sunday”, he said after the completion of the race.

Race 2 had some incidents-Both the drivers of the open category dropped out of the race early due to a crash and technical reasons. When the safety car had left and the track finally was open for pure racing again, the “usual suspects” were competing for the podium. Ledermair was closely followed by Mahaveer Raghunathan, who showed his best lap time in round 10 with 1:27.675 min. Mahaveer was happy with his performance and P2 and looked ahead to the next races (Paul Ricard Circuit/France, 10-11/06/2017) directly after the award ceremony. “The start of today’s race was not that easy, but everything worked out well. Finally it was a tough race again, but I did my best. The goal was, to increase speed and improve the lap record from yesterday’s race. That worked out well, so finally I’m happy with the performance this week and my overall results”, Raghunathan explained.

Mahaveer's fine showing appears in many press reports.
