The weekend started well with blue skies and rising temperature in Circuit Paul Ricard.
Mahaveer qualified third in the Formula category which was a tad disappointing compared to the earlier weekends. He drives a Lola Gibson Tech 3.4 V8 car in the Formula class which has thirteen other competitors. Eleven of them are using more powerful Dallara Mecachrome 4.0 V8 machines and two racers were competing in a Dallara World Series by Nissan vehicle.
Mahaveer finished his first race too with the same P3 position. A couple of crashes brought the safety car which managed to play spoilsport.
Race 2 was less eventful and Mahaveer finished the second race too with the same P3 position, but could d have easily missed the podium. “The problem was the long straights. I lost a lot of time on these straights, actually I lost too much time there”, he said.
He continues to be second in the Formula Class with 124 points.
